All CX-50s begin with a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with cylinder-deactivation. This powertrain delivers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque to its standard i-Activ all-wheel drive system. It features normal, sport and off-road terrain modes that adapt to almost every surface. Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity are standard, as are half-leatherette seats, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Blind-Spot Monitoring with rear cross traffic alert. All CX-50 models include Skyactiv-vehicle dynamics with G-Vectoring Control Plus. It has a 2,000 pound towing capacity.
CX-50 2.5 S Preferred
The CX-50 2.5 S Preferred includes all the above and adds a rear power liftgate with programmable height adjustment. Other features include automatic rain-sensing wipers and a windshield wiper de-icer, dual-heated side mirrors, and heated front seats with three levels of adjustment.
CX-50 2.5 S Premium

CX-50 2.5 S Premium Plus
Begin with automatic power folding side mirrors and 20-inch painted aluminum alloy wheels. Add ventilated front seats with three levels of adjustment, Qi wireless phone charger, Pandora integration and Windshield-projected driving display.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo
Has all the features found on the Mazda CX-50 2.5 S with the added power of a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter with twin scroll Turbo delivering 227 horsepower  and 320 lb-ft of torque. It also has leather seating surfaces, paddle shift levers to operate the six-speed automatic transmission and a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. It is complete with Sport, Off-road and Towing Modes and a body-colored roof spoiler.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition
Has all the features found on the Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Preferred model with the addition of a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter with twin scroll Turbocharger delivering 227 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque (with 93 octane fuel) and paddle shift levers to operate the six-speed automatic transmission. Adaptive front-lighting system, Meridian hood graphics and side rocker garnish helps round out the Meridian Edition.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium
Includes all the features found on the 2.5 Turbo and adds a two-position memory function and heated steering wheel and Bose 12-speaker audio system.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus
Includes all the features and adds auto-dimming driver's side mirrors, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink, and Mazda's Navigation system with Traffic Sign Recognition.
